Reena and the Alzheimer Society of York Region have created a workshop on Aging with a Developmental Disability. This workshop has had great success in our region and we have been awarded a government grant which will allow us to bring this workshop to your area.
The workshop is a one day training program designed for direct support professionals (front line staff) from both Developmental Services and Health/Seniors/Long-term Care Sectors. Cross sector collaboration is vital to help meet the complex needs related to Aging with a Developmental Disability.
